Cloud Forest Small Pillar Candles (set of 4) - $ 16.00
Comes out to $4 per candle - Look how COOL these are! They would look great for a fall or outdoor wedding.
A set of 4 colorful candles, one of each color; red, blue, green and purple. The candles are hand made by Mayan Q'eqchi and Pokomchi people from the seeds of the Arrayan tree, a native of the cloud forests of Guatemala. The waxy seeds are heated to extract a natural alternative to synthetic wax. The Arrayn seed candles are sacred to the Mayan people, and are used to ask the Tzull Taq'a (God of the Mountain) for health, money, work, and abundance of crops as well as protection for their family and domestic animals. The scent and light of these candles is said to be capable of bringing together the Oxlaju Tzull Taq'a (the 13 Sacred Mountains). This provides families with an additional income to help support their subsistence farming practices. This is also good for the cloud forest; with an income generated from the forest there is less need to cut the forest to make room to grow more crops.
